The Anyone Can Fly Foundation celebrates artists and scholars who have created a groundbreaking body of work that changed the course of art history, and uncovered the glorious past of African-American art while also enriching our present. This award recognizes those who devote time, energy and innovation to documenting the great history and culture of black people in America. They have ensured our future in the Art Establishment Canon of American and World Art. To those few special people who have dedicated a lifetime to that endeavor, we award the Anyone Can Fly Foundation’s Celebrated Artist and Distinguished Scholars Lifetime Achievement Award.
View taped interviews with Faith Ringgold and Lifetime Achievement Award Recipients at their studios, offices, and homes. Read illustrated transcripts of these interviews in HTML format. Download transcripts for printing in PDF format.
Thank you to the recipients of these awards for allowing us into their work spaces and for a lifetime of work that will continue to benefit future generations worldwide. |
